POLICIES

The Creative Piano - Studio Policies

Tuition Packages:

Private piano lessons are offered in three yearly packages: Fall term, Spring term, and Summer term. To ensure a smooth payment process, the following policy has been established:

Payment Schedule:

  • Fall and Spring Sessions: Tuitions for the Fall and Spring Sessions are to be paid at the beginning of each semester     or in five equal installments by the 1st day of each month.

  • Summer Session: Tuition for the Summer Session is due in full at the first lesson of the summer term or in two equal installments by the 1st day of each month.

  • Students pay the same amount per month and cancellations and holidays are already calculated into the cost.

Late Payments:

  • It is crucial to submit payments promptly by the due dates outlined above.

  • In the event of late payment, a late fee may be imposed at the discretion of the instructor.

  • Failure to make timely payments may result in the suspension or termination of lessons until the outstanding balance is settled.

 Attendance:

  • Students should attend lessons regularly for maximum benefit.

  • Students pay to reserve the lesson time, regardless of whether or not they attend.

  • Missed lessons are inevitable and are considered in the tuition rate. An exact number of lessons each year is not guaranteed.

  • When a student needs to cancel, please communicate with the instructor as soon as possible.

  • No refunds or tuition adjustments will be issued for non-attendance.

Make-up Lessons:

 â€‹

  • We do not schedule make-up lessons.

Termination of Lessons:

  • Students who wish to discontinue lessons are required to provide a minimum of one month's notice.

Students Expectations:

  • Piano. Having a piano in the home is required to take piano lessons. Acoustic pianos should be tuned at least once per year by a trained piano technician.

  • Encourage daily practice. Students agree to invest the necessary practice time to enable successful musical education.

  • Be punctual. Please come to lessons on time.

  • Communicate with your instructor. Let your teacher know if you have any concerns about practice, repertoire, recitals, etc. We want to make sure we are on the same page. Feel free to send questions via email.

Recitals and Festivals

All students are encouraged to participate in recitals. Recitals provide an excellent opportunity for students to demonstrate the skills learned during the semester, as well as to gain experience as a performing artist. Festivals, competitions, and theory testing are optional.

Summer

  • To secure your spot for the following fall semester, all students are required to enroll in summer lessons. If you decide not to participate in summer lessons, your teacher's available time slots will likely be filled by a new student. While you can still register for fall lessons, you may be assigned a different schedule.

  • Summer scheduling is designed to be flexible and accommodate vacations, travel, and other commitments.

By enrolling in private piano lessons, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by the policies outlined above. Failure to comply with these policies may result in the termination of lessons and forfeiture of any remaining tuition.
